Warwick Wright

Warwick has more than 50 years of experience as a lawyer in all private client matters, from trusts, company, property and family. For the past 35 years he has also specialised in public works compensation claims.

He acts for a wide range of clients from retail property groups through to family homeowners confronted with the prospect of losing their property due to proposed public works. Warwick provides competent professional advice to ensure landowners understand and expeditiously receive their full legal entitlement to compensation. 

Warwick negotiates with the requiring authorities and guides the landowner through the process which can be difficult and traumatic. He represents landowners in legal proceedings if the need arises. His wealth of experience includes helping landowners affected by proposed works by NZTA Waka Kotahi, Auckland Council, the Ministry of Education and KiwiRail.

Senior Associate

Alex Sheehan

Alex is an experienced solicitor with over 10 years’ experience advising clients on property law, relationship property, deceased estates, asset planning, and trusts. He provides practical, commercially focused advice on property matters and complex ownership structures, as well as relationship property matters, including contracting out agreements and separation-related property issues.

Alex also has extensive experience in estate planning, preparing wills, enduring powers of attorney, and family trusts, and regularly advises executors, trustees, and beneficiaries on estate administration, probate, trust management, and succession planning. Known for his clear communication and pragmatic approach, Alex is committed to delivering for his clients at every stage of the process. 

As part of the firm’s Public Works Act and Resource Management Act team, Alex works with landowners affected by public works issues, including Notices of Requirement, designations, and compulsory land acquisitions. He brings significant property law experience to these matters and is developing a specialist practice in this area.

Amelia Cai

Amelia holds an LLB (Hons) and a Bachelor of Global Studies from the University of Auckland, through which she was awarded the Law and Economics Association of New Zealand’s 2025 Essay Prize for her Honours dissertation on consumer protection and unregulated financial advice online.

Amelia’s experience includes research for a leading litigation and arbitration firm in civil proceedings involving company, trust and commercial issues. She brings experience across a range of legal practice areas, having also completed clerkships at an international commercial law firm and a specialist immigration law firm.

Amelia’s present focus is with notices of requirement and notices of designation under the Resource Management Act 1991, and Public Works Act 1981 compensation claims. She can communicate in conversational Mandarin.

Sam Littlewood

Sam graduated from the University of Auckland, and joined the firm in May 2026.

He is a lawyer in the firm’s General Practice team and was admitted to practice in 2026. Sam advises clients across a broad range of legal matters.

Holding a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, Sam brings both legal and commercial insight to his work. His experience includes assisting clients across a variety of practice areas, including property, commercial, trusts and estates, and general private client matters.

Sam is committed to building strong relationships and delivering clear, timely advice. He understands that legal issues can often be complex or stressful and he strives to make them as straightforward as possible for clients. As an recently-admitted lawyer, Sam is enthusiastic about continuing to develop his expertise while supporting clients with professionalism, diligence, and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys his time out on the water fishing or at the beach. He is also passionate about cars and loves football.
